Canvey Island Rugby Union Football Club welcomes to
a grassroots rugby club
celebrating rugby on Canvey Island
Thank you to all NHS heroes
Canvey Island Rugby Club has been impacted in many ways due to the Covid-19 crisis, but the members and players from the seniors and juniors refuse to let the current situation get them down.
We always assess ways in which we can come together, spread joy and raise money for those that are putting themselves on the line for the good of us all.
Our voices may not be angel like, but here is our version of Band Aids Christmas hit, to hopefully raise a smile.
Please donate to the NHS via this link.
From everyone at Canvey Rugby Club, thank you to all the heroes of the NHS x

Play Rugby Union for Canvey Island
Fantastic news as we come out of Lockdown 2.0 – from Wednesday 2nd December 2020 we will be advancing to Stage E (found here) on the Return to Community Rugby Roadmap. We will be able to begin adapted training, in preparation for local friendly fixtures recommencing from Friday 18 December, when the new law variations will come into effect.
Adapted Stage E rules/laws for Age Grade Rugby have also been approved for U7-13 and U14-18. The move to Stage E will allow the recommencing of Tag Rugby for U7s and U8s.
Doing our bit in the community
What people say about us...
Unfortunately, due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, the Club house is closed until at least the 2nd December 2o2o. The safety of all our members is our main priority. We will work closely with the RFU to ensure we can provide all the facilities for our members to train, play and watch rugby.
Don’t worry, we haven’t forgot about the social side of rugby either, so we will endeavour to provide our social hub when we can, whilst adhering to strict Government and RFU guidelines.
Thank you for your support and patience during this difficult time.
